Tailor-made tours for bands, orchestras and choirs

Musica Europa

Music tours
with a difference

At Musica Europa, we understand the delights and the pressures of taking a live performance on tour.

Indeed, Ben Gunner and Andy Rogers, our Directors, both organise and accompany their groups (large adult choir and youth music academy) on tour. There are no sterner critics than those who share their passion for music.

Our approach to planning a tour is one of understanding, thorough knowledge, experience, imagination and attention to detail. Your ideas will be our starting point and then from this initial brief we will work closely with you offering suggestions drawn from our many years of experience to create a successful tour – one that runs like clockwork.

Read on to see how we bring your vision to life.

Musica Europa

Making your tour special

We arrange tours to anywhere in the world and have organised trips extensively across Europe, North America, Australia and the Far East.

Our creative team will match your expectations and the needs of your ensembles with imaginative ideas for concert venues and performance opportunities as well as delivering memorable visits, sightseeing and leisure time.

The world is a big place, but you don’t have to travel far to experience the best performances and excursions. One school has just completed their fifteenth trip with us, all in Europe and all to different destinations.

It is hugely rewarding to perform in iconic venues such as St Peter’s in Rome, Montserrat in Catalonia, Stephansdom in Vienna or St Mark’s in Venice. However, equally rewarding are the more intimate venues at local festivals which often lead to a closer connection with an audience.

A truly memorable tour is usually one that includes a variety of venues and we will work with you to find the best options for your ensemble. Some groups like to give daily concerts; others like a greater mix of relaxation and performance.

The most important thing is to give your group the experience of a lifetime. Something that stays with them and has a strong emotional effect on them and their connection with music.

Musica Europa

Youth tours and adult tours

We cater for all age groups and as with everything relating to the tour it will be shaped around what is best for you.

Making sure you have an audience

Getting a good audience for you is a priority for us. We produce printed and digital marketing and work with local communities and tourist offices to generate appreciative audiences. Our concerts feature in brochures for local festivals and ‘what’s on’ listings, and where appropriate we engage local radio stations, embassies and consulates.

Choirs, bands and orchestras touring together

Different groups from the same school often tour together, so we are careful to recommend destinations that match the requirements of each of your ensembles. No party is too big. We recommend no fewer than twenty travellers, but there is no maximum number – the more the merrier.

Planning a tour

People often ask us how early they should start planning a tour. It’s really never too early to begin a conversation about your next tour. Twelve to eighteen months before travel is a good time to get the ball rolling, but we have also organised trips with less than three months’ notice.

And don’t worry if you haven’t led a tour before. You’ll have all of our 35 years of experience at your disposal and we’ll guide you every step of the way from the first stages of planning to launching the tour to families. It’s also possible to arrange a pre-tour visit with one of our team or a local guide, so you can inspect the concert venues and accommodation.

A tour to match your budget

A big part of planning a tour is working out the cost. Often people think that being bespoke means it will be expensive, but we see it more as offering you flexibility.

There are many ways we can help you with the cost of the tour like how you travel or when. You also get free places for staff depending on the size of your group. Why not give us a ring to chat through your ideas. Whatever your budget, we’ll always try to come up with a solution that works for you.

Accomodation & meals

Good food and accommodation are a must for any successful tour and we work with a range of accommodation providers from 4 star hotels to youth hostels.

In terms of meals the choice is yours whether you want full or half board. Of course we can make recommendations of great restaurants for special nights out and can promise that the hotels and caterers that we work with all provide options for any dietary requirements, allergies and additional needs.

Travel & excursions

All your transport needs, including flights, airport transfers, coaches, ferries and train tickets, as well as excursions and visits at your destination will all be organised by us.

Our experienced bilingual tour guides and tour managers will stay with your group to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Of course, you can also choose to travel without a guide if you prefer. We should also say that Musica Europa is ATOL protected and we are also members of ABTOT giving you financial protection and peace of mind for your tour.
