From the polders and windmills of North Holland to the cosmopolitan centre of Amsterdam, there is charm, history and culture at every turn in The Netherlands. We recommend a visit to Alkmaar’s colourful cheese market and the pottery stores in Delft, whose regions both provide excellent opportunities for concerts. In the capital, don’t miss the Anne Frank museum or the many art galleries containing works by the great Dutch masters such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Vermeer.
Sample Itinerary
- Day 1 – Coach to Holland via the ferry or tunnel. Rehearsal, evening meal and informal concert.
- Day 2 – Visit the Cheese Market in Alkmaar and the nearby windmill museum. Afternoon or evening concert.
- Day 3 – Canal ride in Amsterdam followed by a visit to an art gallery or museum in the city. Afternoon or evening concert.
- Day 4 – Morning excursion to Delft famous for its distinctive pottery. Coach journey home via the ferry or tunnel
