Lisbon and the Alentejo

Portugal’s stunning capital, Lisbon, is full of charm. This vibrant and charismatic hilly coastal city combines traditional heritage with surprising modernisation. The Alentejo stretches from the rugged coastline of the Atlantic coast to the beautiful rolling hills towards the Spanish border. It is characterised by the atmospheric cork forests, sweeping olive groves, vineyards and whitewashed villages – all part of its varied charm. Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the many other medieval towns and villages such as Elvas, Marvão and Castelo de Vide provide all kind of performing opportunities for choirs and instrumental groups.
