The Channel Islands
The Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey are accessible by ferry and by air. Jersey’s bustling centre, St Helier, is contrasted by the quieter country lanes and villages to the north and east as well as the rugged and windswept beaches of the west coast. Guernsey, with its own distinct character, retains a peaceful air about its beating heart, St Peter Port and echoes of the islands’ proximity to France are all around including much history of the occupation of the region in WWII
