Loire Valley
Famed for its splendid châteaux, gastronomy and excellent wines, the Loire Valley meanders across France below Paris separating the northern and southern regions.
The Kings and Queens of France, the nobility and their entourage travelled from Paris to settle on this fertile ground and gradually replaced the old feudal fortresses with opulent estates and palaces. More than 300 châteaux remain forming one of the largest Unesco World Heritage sites.
Charming lively cities, including Orléans, Blois, Tours and Angers were created. Their beautiful churches, grand palaces and courtyards make ideal settings for concerts of all kinds.
