Ljubljana, November 2017

Four nights in the 4-star Grand Union Hotel in the heart of Slovenia’s beautiful capital city, Ljubljana taking in two opera and concert by the Slovenian Symphony Orchestra.

Musical programme: Bizet’s ever-popular Carmen, Nabucco by Verdi and a concert programme including Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major at the Gallus Hall.

Day 1– Transfer from airport and check into Hotel – Lunch in the elegant Kavarna Cafe – free time during the afternoon – Welcome Drink and Evening Meal in Hotel.

Day 2– Guided Tour of Ljubljana in the morning – Lunch in traditional Slovenian restaurant – afternoon at leisure – Evening Concert at the Gallus Hall.

Day 3– Excursion to Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle – Lunch in restaurant – Evening performance of Carmen.

Day 4– Ride the funicular to Ljubljana Castle for a wine-tasting tour at the castle’s vineyard – Lunch in restaurant – Evening performance of Nabucco.

Day 5– Guided Tour of Jasmina, and a visit to the Gingerbread Museum – Lunch in restaurant – free time at Lake Bled – transfer to airport for return flight.
