Basel and Zurich, February 2020

Four nights in Switzerland, staying in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Basel taking in three performances at the historic opera houses in Basel and Zurich.

Programme: Wozzek by Alben Berg, Puccini’s much-loved tale of life in 19th Century Paris, La Bohème and Mozart’s masterpiece, The Marriage of Figaro.

Day 1– Transfer from airport and check into Hotel – Welcome Drink and Dinner in Hotel.

Day 2– Excursion to Zurich with Guided Tour of the Old Town – Lunch in Zeughauskeller restaurant – afternoon at leisure – Evening performance of Wozzek.

Day 3– Guided Tour or Basel – Lunch in Hotel – afternoon at leisure – Evening performance of La Bohème.

Day 4– Morning excursion to Lucerne – Lunch in Hotel Montana Restaurant Scala – Return to Basel – Evening performance of The Marriage of Figaro.

Day 5– Excursion to Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg and Colmar in Alsace – Lunch in Wistub Brenner restaurant – Transfer to airport for journey home.
